Structural construction work was carried of a full body concrete off form mould wall with timber effected pattern. Precast planter work to the frontage plaza acts as façade living wall and major challenge in the development was complying stringent requirements of specimens conservation as specimens are very vulnerable and need a stable environment. Efficient conditioning system is set to extract moisture outside before cooling the space further in a way to ensure that the space remains fresh using minimum energy and automatic sensors in the storage space cut off unnecessary lighting.
In term of fire concerns, the stored stuffed specimens are protected via a waterless nitrogen gas system to prevent damage caused by water sprinklers while fills the wet collection part stored in alcohol jarl storage area when temperature rises above 60℃.
The overall project took place over 2 years period and was successfully completed.
Hospitality - 30 Bencoolen
Major refurbishment whilst the building was fully occupied by a hotel operators.
Major upgrades to Facades, Rooms, Structure and MEP Plant.
In order to minimise the impact on the occupiers, major shutdowns were planned around evenings, weekends and during periods that worked around the main tenant’s operations.
We were able to sequence some of the projects major shutdowns around the tenants schedule shutdowns.
Structural strengthening throughout the building in order to add substantial massing to the top of the building strengthening of beams and columns was required.
Façade installation to existing building and aluminium clad to the external wall.
Restrictions on noisy working hours.
Working to agreed noisy working hours to ensure that the buildings tenant could continue to fully occupy and continue to utilise their areas during their refurbishment.
Key relationship formed to ensure that all parties were kept updated on the project programme and the anticipated disruptive works. This relationship formed a key success for the project with all parties able to be open and honest with each other to work together to achieve what was a common goal.

Health Care - National Centre for Infectious Centre
To reduce risks of infections that spread via air conditioning (AC) systems. Controlling pressure regime introduced in mitigating the spread of infections. Pressurisation moves potentially infectious particles from the clean areas and pushes them out as exhausted air. Hence façade with high pressures test and ante room was installed to ensure isolation and function as a self contained facility which is able to confine the treatment of infected patients to a single place in case of larger outbreak, the entire building also be able to locked for the safe management of the outbreak. All these function required a high profile of façade structure.
